Sutter Memorial Hospital's team of cardiovascular surgeons, nurses, and support staff work hard to provide every person who walks through our doors with the highest quality care possible. With over 50 years experience and continuously being referred many of the higher risk cases in the area, our statistics are proof of the experience and skill of everyone on our staff. Our team boasts some of the lowest scores of operative mortality when compared to the other hospitals by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS).

Below you will find the statistical results for some of our surgical outcomes and how we compare to other like-hospitals, as well as the average scoring of the data population as a whole. This data was taken from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons database with 630 hospitals participating in the harvest, and compiled by the Duke Clinical Research Institute.

Not only do we have excellent outcomes but we also have a lower length of stay and fewer complications then the national average and like hospitals.
